It's a......

Today we went to our appointment and were very pleased and extremely happy to find out that........

We are having a BOY!!!!!!!

We are so excited!!! We were both secretly hoping for a boy too...just seems like that's what you should have first and not to mention how fun that will be for Alex. He loves sports and is very athletic so hopefully our little boy will play too!
I'm just so excited for us to start our own little family. Things are going so well for us. I'm 5 months today, only 4 more to go...so soon. The doctor said everything looks great and we have one healthy baby on the way! Not to mention he wasn't shy at all to show us what he is ha. Now it's on to names, shopping and decorating! If you have any tips...please share!
But thanks to all of you who left comments on my last post and congratulated us! We love you all!

Boy or Girl, what do you think????

Today I am 19 weeks and 4 days!!!! I can't believe I am 3 days away from being 5 months along! It's been so much fun! I feel so lucky and spoiled because I have felt great the whole time! Very little nausia, and fatigue which is so nice. I love reading books that my inlaws gave me (thanks!), and learning about what is happening and what our little baby is up to. It's always fun talking about it with Alex and still sort of crazy to think we are having our first baby. Alex has been so sweet to me already! But pregnancy is really such an amazing process. I am so grateful that we are able to have children. We just know that even though this wasn't in our timing, it definitely brings the most happiness and is why we are here!! It just keeps getting better and better!

This thursday we find out what we are having!!! I have been dying to find out. Mostly because I want to buy cute things. So before we find out, I want to see what you think we are having...so please leave a comment!!! Thanks everyone!

Happy Halloween!!!

We LOVE Halloween! We've always loved dressing up and having parties at our house! This year was a little different and we had the party at the Davis'! Kristine and I made orange frosting and sugar cookies to decorate with fun toppings, I made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies too and Alex's mom made a delicious chicken bean soup! Not to mention all of the candy we had too! We had great treats and everyone dressed up! It was such a fun night and I am so glad we were all able to get together and celebrate! I love my in laws! We went to the trunk or treat with the kids, played games, watched a semi-scary movie..so fun!

Now about this years costume....it was all Alex. For some reason he had the idea in his mind that we should wear ponchos, sombreros and give Alex a dirty mustache(I used eyeshadow). Haha I think this was sparked by his mission in Mexico. I figured why not let him pick out this one even though it is Super nerdy ha. But I have to say it was WAY fun being this..we even stuffed my belly to make me more pregnant and Alex loved having a dirty mustache (not sure why) ha he is funny. We spent a total of $5 dollars on our costume...ha I've always made our costumes and think I will continue to do so it's so much cheaper and fun to do! I love that my husband is up for dressing up every year, it's makes for such a great time! Love him!

On Friday, the day before Halloween all of us dressed up at Zions Bank and had So much fun! Our wonderful branch manager ordered so much pizza for us and Oliver Garden salad!! SO good! And everyone brought treats to share so it was one fun day at work! The clients enjoyed it too!

Our 1 year Anniversary!

This past weekend was our 1 year Anniversary!!! So crazy how fast time flies when you're having fun! To celebrate our special day we decided to take a trip and getaway. We left Friday afternoon and returned late Sunday night! It was SO much fun and felt just like our honeymoon except even better! No homework, phones, blogs/fb, just the two of us! It was great!
We LOVE road trips! Especially during this time of year...fall season is SO pretty! I love the fall, the pretty colors, layering clothes and love that we had a fall wedding! It's my favorite season!
FRIDAY:

We had such a good time on the drive there and back! Lots of laughing, talking and dancing! ha we are definitely nerds!
*Our hotel room! Alex got us a King Suite, at this brand new hotel, it was so nice and comfy!


On Friday before we left to dinner, I remembered I was due for another picture....my stomach has definitely gotten bigger! I love it though, it's so fun being pregnant! Today I am 17 weeks!
We had dinner then watched a good movie to relax and settle in. SO fun!
SATURDAY:
*Saturday was a big day for us and very eventful. We started the day off with a nice hot breakfast at the hotel, it was delicious! Then we got ready and headed out for some shopping! We bought some cute clothes and got lunch. When we got back to the hotel, we decided it was time for some swimming....we loved it! The weather was perfect, 87 degrees! It was so nice to swim again, and lay out by the pool. Me in the shade, Alex in the sun haha it works for us!

*Then we showered again, got ready and headed to a fancy dinner! We had so much fun spending this time together!
*After dinner we headed back to the hotel to reminisce of our wedding day by watching our video and eating a piece of our cake......We were pretty excited and just oh so happy!

*We watched our Wedding Video...(temple) & (reception), it made me miss our special day so much! It really was perfect!
The cake however was a little gross..haha something about 1 year old frosting that doesn't taste so good. But it was fun laughing while we ate a tiny piece. It also looked completely different then what it was a year ago...ha.

On Sunday we went to the Temple and walked around on the grounds. It is so pretty! It was nice to walk around and talk, such an amazing place. After the temple we stopped by our friends house, the Potter's and had a delicious lunch/dinner with them. It was great to see them because Kalli is pregnant too, and is due 1 day before me! Our stomachs look the exact same, a relief to know I am right on track. After dinner we left and headed home. We really wanted to stay and were definitely sad to leave.

I love that we get to spend so much time together because of our schedules and that we do everything together! We've always said that we want to be an active family....so we're always up to something...planning trips, fun activities and relaxing movie nights too. But regardless of what we do its always fun! This past year has definitely been the best year of my life!

We have such a sweet story. I can't believe how it has played out, who knew...

In 2006 we met in October

In 2007 he baptized me into the church in October (such an amazing experience!!)

In 2008 we were married in October in the Salt Lake Temple!
In 2009 we are celebrating our One year anniversary and expecting our first baby!

It just keeps getting better and better! I love him more and more everyday! I truly am so grateful for him. He is so cute to me! I love that he has so many amazing qualities, and yet can be a total nerd with me. He is perfect, I am such a lucky girl and couldn't be happier! Love you babe, Happy Anniversary!

Major update!

So much has happened in the last little while, too much to blog about too so I just lumped most of it into one post. But here are some very exciting things that have been going on for us...

*First, we moved into our town home that we LOVE!!! It is finished and ready for visitors! So come visit us!

*I am Loving online classes! It's so nice, I love that I can do school whenever and my classes are a lot more interesting these days which makes it much easier!

*I got called to be the Enrichment Craft Leader and I am SO excited for it! I Love crafts and even better I get to do it with such cute girls in our ward!

*Alex was able to transfer to McKay Dee hospital in Ogden from the Provo hospital, as a Physical therapist aide!!! We are very excited about this because he is still working for IHC, it's across the street from Weber where he is going to school and is the same hospital I will be delivering our baby! It really is the perfect set up for us and we are so happy about it!

*Also Alex has been working and observing with the Weber State football team and trainers! The past couple of weeks he has helped set up for the games, and has been hanging out on the field with the other Athletic trainers and players. He has had a lot of fun and is looking forward to becoming a trainer. His classes are great, and his homework is usually to just come home and tape my ankles, which is really funny for me because I have no idea what it's supposed to feel like but fun to see what he is learning!

*We bought our first SUV Today!!! It's one we've been wanting for a long time and we just happened to get it at the perfect time. It is SO cute and is great for winter and more importantly a car seat! We are verryy excited and absolutely love it! It's a 2004 Endeavor XLS!

*Our 1 year Anniversary is next Saturday and we are off for a fun vacation! And can't wait!

*And most excitingly is that we got to see our baby for the first time last Tuesday!!! It was amazing! We were so surprised at how much the baby moves! The baby was kicking his/her feet so much, moving it's arms like crazy and twirling around. It was so great to see that our baby is healthy, right on schedule and has all 4 limbs! It was such a special experience! It really is so crazy how much we love our baby already...I can only imagine how great it will be once he/she is here! We find out what we're having on November 12th, I'll be 21 weeks by then....and we are anxiously waiting to see what it is so we can start buying lots of fun things!

The Best Birthday!!

On September 23, it was my 22nd birthday!!! Boy do I feel old, so weird. It was definitely one of my most favorite birthdays! It started off great...I went to work and I was SO surprised because my wonderful boss and friends decorated my spot with balloons, cards, my favorite candies and cookies!! It was great! All day long clients could see that it was my birthday because of the decorations, so I got wished a happy b-day a lot! I really LOVE my job and the people I work with at Zions Bank! Decoration and goodies I brought home from work!. THEN....

Alex came to my work in Salt Lake and picked me up and we headed to Gateway to shop!!! I was very excited about this and was very happy that this is what Alex decided to do for me...what girl wouldn't want to go shopping on no budget ha! So we shopped and shopped and lucky for me I got a lot of really cute clothes (not maternity)!! Alex was very patient while I went from store to store ha and we even did some more shopping on the weekend! I love him!

THEN...

We came home and Alex banned me from the Kitchen. I wasn't sure why but figured it was for dinner and it was!! He made such a delicious dinner, I was very impressed! He was so cute and wouldn't let me in until it was ready and set out. So when it was okay, I walked in the kitchen to chicken, asparagus and cheesy potatoes! Yum! He is such a sweet husband and really tries so hard to make things perfect for me. I love his creativity and efforts! Ever year for our favorite holidays he always tries to do something different and something that took some thought...I love this about him! After our great dinner, my family came over and brought me a cake for dessert and more gifts! We had so much fun just hanging out and I LOVE all the gifts I got! I felt very spoiled!

Recap

Well we have been very busy and a lot has happened that I need to blog about, just need to find some time. But for now I thought I'd post these.
*A couple of weeks ago my mother in-law and I threw a baby shower for my sis in-law Kristine. It turned out super cute! I'm just glad we pulled it together in such a short time. And thankfully I had Ciara's help to make the cute invitation for the shower(pictured below). Kristine got so much cute stuff from all the women in the ward, it was great. I didn't take any pictures of her, I was way to busy watching and looking at all the fun gifts. Anyway here are a few pics of the shower.
My Sister in-laws, I seriously love these girls! We have so much fun together! Feels like we've always been family!

*Alex and I have been so lucky to have Ciara & her hubby Brett around. We've been able to do a lot of fun things together. A few weeks ago we went to the Bountiful temple, mine and Alex's first time there, and went to dinner. It was such a great night and we really had such a good time!

Guess What???!!!

Alex and I have been wanting to share our very exciting news now for over a month, but had to wait to make sure everything was okay. But now I can finally tell you all that we are

Pregnant!!!

Our little baby is due April 1st for now and I am about 13 weeks a long, so a little over 3 months!! We were able to hear the babys heart beat last week and that was such a sweet experience! We both just kept smiling at each other while we listened... it was incredible! It brought us even closer and made it much more real. I couldn't be happier to share this exciting adventure with Alex, I am so grateful for him. And even though this was very unexpected and not planned, it is by far the BEST surprise we could've asked for! We are extremely excited and can't wait to meet him/her and start our own little family!

We've had so much fun telling our families and friends in fun ways! Just thought I'd share our happy news with all of you too!!

Golf tournament

Every year the Davis' do a golf tournament with the whole family. We go to Gladstan golf course in Payson. It is such a pretty course, part of it is in the canyon so it makes for really fun cart rides and scenery! At the end the best teams get prizes for how well they played! We had such a good time and LOVE family traditions!
