Christmas Eve, day and day after!!

Christmas was amazing this year as it always is. We spent so much time together doing such fun things! And we are so grateful for our wonderful friends and amazing families! We love the holidays! Here is a quick snapshot of what we did: (Sorry for the long posts, it is mostly for journal purposes..I just don't want to forget all the fun things we've done)

*Christmas Eve
Was spent with the Davis doing the traditional movie (we saw Avatar in 3D), pizza then sibling gift exchange!! Alex and I got some great gifts...Skookie pans for pazookis (I love cookies)-thanks Kristine! And a gift card to Buckle (my favorite store!)-Thanks Lindsey! After the Gift exchange we did the traditional toast with eggnog! At Avatar! (Grandpa Jan is taking the picture)*Christmas Day
Christmas Day was spent mostly with my family! But before we went over there we did our own Christmas, and it was great! I got Alex games for the wii, a cute new coat and lots of clothes. And he got me a lot of clothes (that I picked out ha), some movies and cute jewelry. We also finished our bedroom, so it is now complete and I love it! And I got more frames for our walls! I loved it all and am so happy how it turned out!
After our gifts we went to my parents. My mom made the most amazing dinner, basically Thanksgiving all over again! Then all of the family came over...we ate and then everyone opened all of their gifts! It was so fun!! My mom goes all out every year and spoils us all, love her! She got us clippers (now I can cut his hair, yay), gift cards, cute organizing baskets and lots of home decor!! I loved it all-thanks Mom!
Later on that night we drove back to Pleasant Grove. We opened more presents there and got some great camping stuff, tools for Alex and more gift cards!! Thanks- Shonagh and Jan! We were very tired after such a fun long day that we went to bed because the next morning we were going bowling with the Davis!
*Christmas Day at my parents-sporting some of our new clothes! *The day after Christmas= Davis Family Bowling Tournament!
Last but not least is the bowling tournament! Everybody bowls, and its girls vs. girls and boys vs. boys. The winner of the boys gets the privilege to have the "Davis Family Champion" shirt and the winner of the girls gets the family trophy until next year. It is such a fun tradition and we love it!

Here we are comparing my baby bump with a bowling ball haha, Alex is a great sport! Some of the Davis just hangin out

Love him!!Lindsey brought her cute boyfriend Josh- he leaves on his mission soon so we are glad he was able to come!
*AND THE WINNERS ARE......

For the girls......ME! I won! Haha no one saw that coming but I think I just got lucky!

For the boys.....Andrew! We had so much fun and really love our families so much! I hope all of you had a great Christmas too!
*Cute
The night before Christmas Eve, I bought Alex some of his favorite candies (gummy bears and twizzlers) thinking that would be a cute little surprise. Funny thing is he was thinking the same thing and that same night brought me home french fries from this way good place (it's what I have been craving during my whole pregnancy) and I was so excited about it. Ha I know it's really nerdy but I thought it was cute we were thinking the same thing. I love him so much! Our Christmas was really everyday of December because of the time we were able to spend together with out school, it was so nice and we are both so grateful for the time we had to share with friends and family!

BEST Ugly Christmas Sweater Party and Temple Night

We love you all and wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

(Thanks to Ciara for the photos and card!)
Sweater Party
Our good friends from our ward, The Reid's, through such a fun Ugly Christmas Sweater Party this past weekend. There were so many couples too! We love hanging out with them, they are always up to something fun! But here are a few reasons why it was the BEST Sweater party yet....!

*We played a white elephant game...ha there were some pretty interesting gifts! *We basically had a photo shoot with everyone to show off the funny sweaters. *After hanging out and exchanging gifts we left to the Nicklecade to play games...but we rode in a limo! Ha it was seriously so fun and random! Even better that it was free (one of our friends owns it!)
*The wives.... (minus Michelle, we missed you)
And husbands....(minus Justin)
*While playing at the Nicklecade...Both Jake and Bree won the jackpot on 2 different games...SO lucky! Ha
*To end the night we went back to the Reid's and ate some amazing cake! It was super cute because it was a Christmas Sweater and wrapped like a present too! So cute! We had so much fun with our new friends and are so glad that we have such a fun ward! Thanks for the great night!!

Ward Temple Night
We didn't stop there, the next night was ward Temple night at the Salt Lake Temple. We all went to a session, which was so nice to go back to the Temple we were sealed in! After we had hot chocolate and walked around to see the lights. It was freezing being in a skirt but it was worth it. I love going with Alex to the Temple!

Holiday Festivities!

Alex and I have been done with our finals for a week now and it has been SO great! We've been enjoying this holiday season by going to a lot of fun things and have loved every minute of it! Nothing is better then free nights with no homework so we've taken full advantage...here are a few things we've been up to.

*Our Christmas tree! I bought all new bulbs, ribbon ect for it and it turned out pretty cute!

*Festival of Trees
My friend Megan got the great idea to go to the Festival of Trees and bring our husbands. Neither of us had been before, and were way excited to go. Somehow both of our spouses had other things going on for the day we wanted to go, Alex had to do some clinical rotations and Taylor had to help someone with their lights all morning. SO we decided we were going anyway and are so glad we did! We both were inspired to go shopping and get more decorations for our trees and we did! We had so much fun!

*At Zions we had a 4th grade class come and decorate our 12 ft. Christmas tree that is in our branch. We loved having all of the little kids there, we showed them the vault, safe deposit boxes and the coin machine...they all thought it was so cool. Our branch manager did such a good job telling them in simple terms about banking and money. We had cookies for them and played Christmas music. It was such a fun morning!

Showing them the very heavy door to the vault.

*That same week, we had our work Christmas dinner in Salt Lake. The restaurant had such a fun atmosphere and we all had a great time!

*We went to the last session for the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert!! We were so glad we got tickets again this year, we absolutely love going! We brought my mom and brother with us and they loved it too! The best part about this performance was at the very end the Prophet came out to say thank you to everyone and Natalie Cole. It was so great! Then to end it the choir sang "God be with you till we meet again" to Natalie. It was so amazing and the spirit was so strong! We are so grateful we were able to go and see that!

*Yesterday we went to the BEST Ugly Christmas Sweater party and are going to the Salt Lake Temple tonight with our ward and to see the lights! Pictures to come!

We've had so much fun! I hope that you are all enjoying your holiday season too!

Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving break and Logan!

Thanksgiving was so fun this year, as it always is. We ate two amazing dinners at my in laws and then at my parents. We started it off in the traditional way...Alex played in a turkey bowl game with his friends, I helped cook and then we relaxed and hung out with our wonderful families all day! Hangin out with the fam...love these guys
The next day, we went Black Friday Shopping! Alex and I have never been and thought we would try it out. We went to Best Buy and were completely amazed at the long line...we were even there by 5 am. So we watched everyone rush in, then we casually walked in and bought a TV! We were way glad we went and had a fun time! We came home and of course Alex set up our TV right away and after we made a great breakfast, decorated our Christmas tree, went and did some good shopping and watched a Christmas movie! SO fun!
That following Sunday Alex and I had to speak in church. I was super nervous. But Alex helped me prepare my talk, and tried his hardest to help me see that it really isn't that bad. On top of my nervousness he somehow found time to write his talk too. And then Sunday came around and all of my in laws came to listen to us, so grateful for them. Our talks went really well, Alex is such a good husband, honestly don't know what I would do with out him. After church, the family came over for dinner. We are so happy with how it all turned out.

Trip to Logan
A couple weeks ago we went to Logan to watch the BYU vs. USU game. We met up with our good friends and enjoyed a great game! All of us girls sit by each other and talk, while the boys get way serious watching the game ha. We were so glad that we made it in because since this was such a big game, there were lines upon lines to get in. At some point they stopped letting students in because it was completely full! Lucky for us USU won!! And even though we like BYU too, it was so fun! After we all went to dinner. Seriously love our friends.
Ryan and Alex were SOO funny! They got way into the game and Anna and I just kept laughing at them...gotta love boys and their sports
The boys- watching the game, and the girls just talking away!

I am way behind in blogging so there will be much more to come soon.

I am thankful for...

I love this time of year, the Holiday spirit, being grateful for the things you have and spending time with the ones you love.

I have so much to be thankful for....

Being able to go to school full time. And for Alex being able to go to school full time and finishing his degree so quickly so he can provide for our family. His hard efforts and much dedication has already paid off for us and I am so grateful to have such a responsible husband! He will be 26 with a Masters, it's only a year and a half away!

I am so grateful for our home and the spirit that is in it. We both love coming home, it's a place we want to be.

I'm grateful for being able to go to the Temple with my husband and remember why we are here, and love going together.

I am thankful for the holidays and for the traditions Alex and I have made for our own little family! We are looking forward to the Mormon Tabernacle Concert, Bowling with the Davis', movie night, going to see the lights at temple square, and going to our ward night at the Salt Lake Temple!

I am so thankful and very grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so glad that I have it in my life. I know that I am the happiest I could possibly be because of it and of the eternal companion I have. I am so grateful to have a Priesthood holder in my home.

So grateful for my job! It's been perfect for us and I feel very lucky that I like going to work, and love the people I meet everyday. I'm so grateful that Alex is able to work in the medical field with such a great company! Neither of us come home stressed from work, which is so nice and we are both home by 5pm everyday.

I am grateful for dinner time with Alex. Sounds funny I know, but I make dinner every night and we sit at our table like a little family and just reflect about our days and laugh. It's definitely my favorite part of my day!

I am grateful for ALL of our wonderful friends in all the places we've lived and for the example they are to us! We love you all!

I am grateful for the girls in my ward, they are are so cute and have been so much fun. I love going to church every Sunday and learning from them. Alex and I have felt so welcomed in our new married student ward, and are so glad we are here. We love the new friends we have made!

I am thankful for the amazing family I now have, my in-laws. They are such great people, every time I am around them I am reminded just how lucky I am. They are all great examples to Alex and I. I am thankful for my family and their constant love and support. I have such great parents and siblings!

I am so thankful for the greatest blessing besides being married...being able to have children. I am grateful to be the mother of our baby, and so happy I can share that with my husband.

So grateful for our marriage. We were crazy about each other when we were first married, and are even more in love now. I know that because of him I am one happy girl everyday. I love that I am sealed to him for time and all eternity and that we will be together forever. He is my best friend and so much more. I love him so very much!

Twilight and cute husband!

The Davis girls!
This past Friday I went to Twilight with my cute sister and mother in-laws! It's a tradition we started last year when we went to see the first Twilight. Kristine, my sister in-law is the one who got us all to read the books. It's always so fun to have a girls night with my family!
Friday was a very busy day for me, I had to work early in the morning because we had a meeting, and I had a huge paper due in one of my classes so I was a little stressed, but was so excited to head to American Fork to see the movie. I said goodbye to Alex, he was staying home to watch a football game, and I headed to the car, and on the seat was the cutest note and my favorite treats!! Cookies & cream and sour candy! Alex knew I was a little stressed and so he surprised me by getting those for me for the movie. I loved it, and love him so much! He does little surprises for me all of the time, he is so thoughtful and honestly the best husband! We had such a good time! I am so thankful for my in-laws and my husband!
The treats from Alex, he is so sweet!

Love my husband, don't know what I would do with out him!

Baptism and Basketball game!

A couple of weeks ago we went to Pleasant Grove for our cute nephews baptism! We were so proud and excited for him! Alex's brother Andrew baptized him and Alex confirmed him. It was great to see and made me remember how grateful I am for the priesthood and my husband. We had a good time with the family as always!

Some of the Davis', we're missing several members in this picture but I sure do LOVE all of them! They are such a wonderful family to have, I'm SO lucky!

This past weekend was so much fun! We were first very excited to see our best friends from Logan! They came down Friday for the WSU vs. USU basketball game. And we couldn't wait to watch USU play again, it's one of our favorite date nights! And of course they won! After we went and got shakes and hung out a little longer. I was so happy they came, and I was finally able to see baby Carter who is so cute and made me even more excited for our baby!
Then on Saturday we went Christmas Shopping!!!!! It was great! We've decided to do a big family present for us (a TV), and then set an amount for us each to have. We bought so many clothes for each other...Christmas can't come soon enough so I can wear them! We had a great time!

Today we went to our appointment and were very pleased and extremely happy to find out that........

We are having a BOY!!!!!!!

We are so excited!!! We were both secretly hoping for a boy too...just seems like that's what you should have first and not to mention how fun that will be for Alex. He loves sports and is very athletic so hopefully our little boy will play too!
I'm just so excited for us to start our own little family. Things are going so well for us. I'm 5 months today, only 4 more to go...so soon. The doctor said everything looks great and we have one healthy baby on the way! Not to mention he wasn't shy at all to show us what he is ha. Now it's on to names, shopping and decorating! If you have any tips...please share!
But thanks to all of you who left comments on my last post and congratulated us! We love you all!

Boy or Girl, what do you think????

Today I am 19 weeks and 4 days!!!! I can't believe I am 3 days away from being 5 months along! It's been so much fun! I feel so lucky and spoiled because I have felt great the whole time! Very little nausia, and fatigue which is so nice. I love reading books that my inlaws gave me (thanks!), and learning about what is happening and what our little baby is up to. It's always fun talking about it with Alex and still sort of crazy to think we are having our first baby. Alex has been so sweet to me already! But pregnancy is really such an amazing process. I am so grateful that we are able to have children. We just know that even though this wasn't in our timing, it definitely brings the most happiness and is why we are here!! It just keeps getting better and better!
This thursday we find out what we are having!!! I have been dying to find out. Mostly because I want to buy cute things. So before we find out, I want to see what you think we are having...so please leave a comment!!! Thanks everyone!
