Update Part 2: Games

This summer has been very eventful! Especially for Alex. Back in February he applied for two internships, one with the Salt Lake Bees and the other with Ogden Raptures. Either one of these would offer such great experience for him to learn more about being an Athletic Trainer and give him a good glimpse of what it would be like for a career. To our surprise he was offered BOTH internships!!! We were so excited to hear from the Bee's because they had so many applicants and only took 1 person. We felt so incredibly blessed for so many reasons! It will look so good for Alex's resume, gives him hands on experience, and it's baseball!! He accepted the offer from the Bee's and we couldn't be happier about it.
He has been with them since the beginning of the season. On his first day they gave him loads of new Bee's shirts/jackets, shorts and hats! They also feed him like a king! Everyday he gets lunch and dinner there along with lots of snacks....all for free! He is there for every home game, minus Sunday games, and fortunately does not travel with them...which is good for me because they only get 2 days off a month! He loves it, I love it and we are so happy about it! And to top it off he can get any family members great tickets for free!! So I have been able to go to some games with family and friends...here's a few!
My cute husband in the dugout

My father & mother in-law wanted to go to a game, they love baseball. So they called me, and we met at Gateway and ate at Zetas for a delicious dinner. Then left for the game! It was such a fun night and the bees won! I just love them!

Another night I met up with my good friend Michelle and her cute little family! We had such a fun time! I love their little boys! We ate at the stadium and had so many treats! It was fun playing with Colby too. At the end of the game we rushed Colby to the dug out so Alex could give him a ball from one of the players. It was so cute when he handed it to him, everyone cheered and clapped and he was so happy! Recently I went to another game with my new very fun neighbors, the Millers! Shaylee is such a cute girl! We both love all the same things, and have so much in common so it was very easy to get to know her so quickly. And oddly enough they hang out with 2 other couples that we are already friends with so we all hang out together now and it's so fun!
She invited me to come with her, her husband and family for the game! This was such a great day because just before this, my boss decided that I needed to take the rest of the day off and go get a FACIAL at the Gateway! It was pretty amazing getting an hour long facial for free while getting paid...love my boss! Which would explain my shiny face in the pic below! Such a great day!!
I LOVE going to the games. The nice summer weather, baseball and seeing Alex is perfect! If anyone wants to go let me know! We are just so grateful for this opportunity and know that it will help us later in the future too! I am so proud of Alex and all that he has accomplished so quickly! Only 2 semesters to go until he graduates!!

Jazz Game.

A while ago our good friends, the Trujillos and Parks invited us to come to a Jazz game with them. And it wasn't just any game, it was the Playoffs! So we were even more excited about it! Marie and Michelle are some of my favorite people! They are twin sisters! We had a blast! And Alex was so happy! Thanks again for taking us, you guys are awesome!
