valentines. one of my favorite holidays (i think i love them all really). i'm definitely not one of those who despises it or makes fun of it. why wouldn't i want to celebrate this day... full of cute decorations. sweet things from my husband. and another date night. i am glad that even though this day is meant to celebrate love, Alex makes my everyday seem just as great. its another excuse to enjoy ourselves and it was so fun.
a few valentines things. my cute mom made red velvet cupcakes for us (i only got a few in the picture), and we ended the night with some chocolate covered strawberries...
a few surprises....when leaving for work i got in my car only to find this very cute note. i have to admit this is one of my most favorite things! i love to see his handwriting and read what he has to say. it always makes me smile and feel so lucky. the second surprise...i was at work and got called down from my office only to find flowers from my special valentine :). i was very surprised and excited (apparently they messed up his order and they weren't the right ones, but i loved them anyway).
we finished the holiday with a fun dinner. (don't mind the awkward hand holding haha). after dinner we came home and opened a few gifts for each other. it was a perfect day and night. i love this day and i love him.
