he graduated.

and i am so proud. after 3 years at Utah State, a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and 2 years at Weber State, a masters degree in Athletic Training...he is done at age 26! what an accomplishment. and it doesn't stop there for him. after several internships/clinicals with the Salt Lake Bee's, WSU football team, Utah Blaze, North Ridge HS, several Physical therapy clinics and working at McKay Dee Hospital he is off on his way to his dream job. he is a great example of faith and dedication. i admire him.
his graduation day was honestly so much fun! we woke up early to attend the early ceremony. he met up with friends from his class and we listened to Governor Leavitt. i got a little teary eyed as i watched Alex from where i was sitting. this for us really means the beginning of starting our "real" lives where school no longer consumes our thoughts. it's so exciting!

Alex on the front row, and the speaker.

WSU provided 2 tickets to the graduates for a nice mexican food bar. after the ceremony we walked around and ate some lunch. we were all smiles.

the real deal. i was very much so looking forward to seeing the "hooding" ceremony. even though it looks like a sharks fin, it's very cool. both his parents and mine came to this part of the day and we all enjoyed it! the speeches were very well done by the graduates themselves. it was very warm and inviting, definitely one of the best graduations i have ever been to.

his sweet parents. they are so great to us. they have been there through everything and are always so encouraging with what we want to do. i know that Alex's dad has played a very big role in the man that he is today. i love that they come to everything and are so supportive!

my cute parents came too! even though my dad wasn't feeling the best, he came anyway. he says that Alex is his "second son" and i love it. i am grateful for parents who come to support my husband and make the effort to do so. they are such great examples to me.
another fun part about Alex's special day is that we were able to have a mini lunch with his professors in his classroom! it was great to see where he would go and learn everyday. it is definitely a different type of room, it has lots of tables for taping, exercise things and a small pool. it was so fun to see!

after we were finished with the classroom get together we went and ate at Brick Oven. it was very fun and delicious!

and finally we ended the night with a Grad party for my husband and Chelsea's husband Sheldon. Chelsea and i planned it and it turned out great! we had way too many treats and fun decorations. thanks to everyone who came (sorry to those who didn't make the picture)!

Yay!
